“There’s no such thing as bad weather for surfing… just the wrong wetsuit!” Seventhwave Wetsuits

Best Feature of our 2013 Wetsuit range: Custom-Fit is the No1 feature for maximum warmth in a Seventhwave wetsuit. Combined with it being made in NZ and from Limestone neoprene, gives you the confidence you’re buying the thinnest, warmest, lightest, best fitting wetsuit possible. No matter ‘how many bells and whistles’ a wetsuit has got or how ‘top of the range’ it is it will only be the BEST for you if the fit is 100% perfect.

How this feature works: Choose your model. Download the Custom-Fit chart and complete with your measurements. Order and email your chart and your wetsuit will be custom made and couriered to you within 10 days.

What people should look at when buying a new wetsuit: It depends on whether you’re looking at the cheapest or prettiest option or if you’re looking for a serious piece of equipment that will give you hundreds of surfs and years of service. Fit is the number one issue for flexibility and comfort. Warmth and longevity comes from the Limestone neoprene all Seventhwave wetsuits are made from. Warmer, lighter and longer lasting!

“The Xcel Infiniti Drylock is hands down the warmest most flexible wetsuit I have ever used” Morehu Roberts

FEATURES OF THE XCEL 2013 WETSUIT RANGE: Every 2013 Xcel fullsuit is a careful combination of an entry system (zipper), materials, seams, and design/fit innovations for a desired level of warmth, stretch, and value. The various fullsuits we offer deliver the highest quality construction and fit across all conditions and levels of performance. Some features to look out for this season from Xcel are: QDF – quick dry fabric, Airprene, V-Foam, and the X-Zip2 has replaced the X-Zip in the Infiniti range and SLX.

HOW THE FEATURES WORK?: QDF –The fastest drying material available. Hydrophobic fibers repel water and promote warmth. Using fibers provides a more durable solution than water repellent coatings that tend to wear away over time. Airprene – Air-chambered insulating inner neoprene layer. Air chambers trap body heat for greater insulation and optimal heat retention. V-Foam – The most premium foam (inner neoprene layer) available. Significantly lighter, stretchier, and softer than standard wetsuit foam. X-Zip2 – This is a durable, watertight, easy on/off front entry solution. The zipper flap is attached at one shoulder to keep more water out, with a smooth skin hem and pull cord/barrel lock combo on the open flap edge for a better seal and adjustment fit.

WHAT CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR WHEN BUYING A WETSUIT?: FIT IS THE DIFFERENCE! It doesn’t matter how many features a wetsuit has, it will not work if it doesn’t fit correctly. When buying a winter wetsuit, this becomes even more important. Get the highest quality materials you can afford, as this will generally make the suit lighter and stretchier.
