Silas: So Hughsey, how have the waves been the past month in Indo?

Hughsey: Um, I reckon it's been fun. People are saying it's been an average season, but for me I've been getting good waves and have no complaints what so ever.

Silas: Where have your best waves been Ryan?

Ryan: Definitely G-land, and Desert Point. Scored G-land at the end of June the best it's been since '07. I went to G-land for 3 days and got it pumping, came back to Bali for one night, then went to Deserts the next day and got it pumping for two days. I probably racked up the most hours [barrel time] in my life in one week.

Silas: Hughsey, what's the highlight of your trip been?

Hughsey: The trip we did to G-land was definitely amazing. It showed it's potential but also the short time I did at Lakey Peak, I can now probably vote that as one of my favorite waves in the world. We ended up at Periscopes one morning, and it was perfect 4 - 5ft, not a breath of wind, and no one out because there was an 8ft salt water crocodile roaming the lineup!

Silas: Ryan, you've got another month left in Indo. What's the plan?

Ryan: I don't really make plans, I'll just go where the swell is going to be best. Desert Point is definitely on the cards again though.

Silas: Hughsey, favorite thing to do in Bali when you're not surfing?

Hughsey: Pool side for the afternoon laying groundwork, courting on the beach at sunset, cutting shapes on the d-floor at night, then going home alone in the early hours.

Silas: Ryan, Mei or Nasi Goreng?

Ryan: Depends on where you're getting it from. If I'm cooking it, it's Mei. If someone else is cooking it, it's Nasi. Too much MSG otherwise!
